The designation of origin Dolcetto d’Alba is reserved for red wines Dolcetto d’Alba and Dolcetto d’Alba Superior.
The production area of ​​the grapes used to produce the Dolcetto d’Alba DOC includes some towns in the provinces of Cuneo and Asti.
The denomination of origin Dolcetto d’Alba when released for consumption must have the following characteristics:
Dolcetto d’Alba
– Color: ruby ​​red;
– Odor: fruity and characteristic;
– Taste: dry, almond, harmonic;
– Minimum alcohol content: 11,50% vol., With mention “vineyard”: 12% vol.
Dolcetto d’Alba Superior
– Color: ruby ​​red;
– Odor: fruity and characteristic;
– Taste: dry, almond, harmonic;
– Minimum alcohol content: 12,50% vol., With mention “vineyard”: 12.50% vol.
Grapes:
– 100% Dolcetto
Serving temperature: around 18 ° C – 20 ° C.
Serving suggestions: excellent with appetizers of vegetables and meats, risotto, ravioli, veal and beef.
