Prosecco di Conegliano Valdobbiadene joined the official list of typical Italian products with the certification DOCG (denomination of controlled and guaranteed origin) that was released July 17, 2009.
Being a product DOCG certification requires that the entire production process must be carried out in the region of Veneto.
Prosecco di Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG is recognized for its elegance vital, light straw color, its moderate body and its exclusively fruity and floral. It is produced in the 15 municipalities that belong to the hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene in the province of Treviso. Among them they stand out the Cru or the famous Rive Superiore di Cartizze and made from grapes grown exclusively in one township or part of it.
Prosecco di Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG is produced in the Champagne, Sparkling and Quiet. Rive present only in the sparkling version, is the essence of the territory. It is produced, in fact, exclusively from grapes from one township or part of it, to enhance the characteristics that gives the wine a territory. The Rive allows, therefore, to fully understand the many expressions of Conegliano Valdobbiadene. The term “Rive” indicates, in the local dialect, the vineyards on steep terrain, and is designed to highlight the vocation and the many differences that express the different locations of the name. For the “Rive” production is reduced to 130 quintals per hectare, with the obligation of manual harvesting of the grapes and the indication of the vintage. In the area of ​​Conegliano Valdobbiadene are 43 Rive indicate that many territorial expressions.
Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Frizzante
This version is more informal and immediate. In type in fermentation in the bottle is the true ambassador of tradition of the winemaker.
