The Miele Varesino becomes part of the official list of typical Italian products with the certification PDO (protected designation of origin) that was released April 1, 2014.
Being a product PDO certification requires that the entire production process must be carried out in the region of Lombardy.

We can distinguish the following types of Miele Varesino PDO:
The Acacia, straw-white, light amber, light and delicate aroma taste very sweet with late crystallization.
The Wildflower, reddish in color, with strong aroma, pleasant taste and variable depending on the area of ​​production and with a normal crystallization. This honey is extracted from the pollen of flowers and honeydew derived from the sap of various plants.
Chestnut, dark, almost black, with a powerful and pungent aroma and flavor and slightly bitter, has a crystallization delayed and irregular.
